Dear Diary:

Those who know me well know that I have absolutely no fashion sense. Actually, that's not completely true, what I have is the unerring ability to buy something about three seconds before it falls out of fashion.

So, as a public service announcement, I will mention that when I was in Montreal I bought some black, narrow legged Levi 501 jeans with a button fly and some drab olive cargo pants.

No, I did not buy any of the flare/bellbottom style pants which are clogging the stores. (I wore pants like that 30 years ago, wearing them now Would Just Be Wrong.)

No, I did not buy any of the saggy butt square legged rapper style pants, either.

If you own any pants in either of those two styles, you can breathe a sigh of relief.

But as for those of you who have olive drab cargo pants or black Levi 501's ... well, all I can say is that they've just received the Fashion Kiss o' Death.

Sorry. *Sigh.*

This template is a riff on a design by the truly talented Quinn. Because I'm a html 'tard, I got alot of pity coding to modify it from Ms. Kittay, a woman who can make html roll over, beg, and bring her her slippers. The logo goodness comes from the God of Graphics, the Fuhrer of Fonts, the one, the only El Presidente. I smooch you all. The background image is part of a painting called Higher Calling by Carter Goodrich which graced the cover of the Aug. 3, 1998 issue of The New Yorker Magazine.

Kids, don't try viewing this at home without Netscape 6 or IE 4.5+, a screen resolution of 800 X 600 and the font Mead Bold firmly ensconced on your hard drive.
