Dear Diary:

I never thought that one day I'd be joking about the fact that Hallmark doesn't make a "Sorry To Hear You Got Stabbed and Get Well Soon" card.

Keeping an on-line journal has brought many people into my life including the one, the only Queerscribe. Late this week this very funny, smart and sexy man was stabbed over 20 times after a date went very, very wrong.

I still can't believe this has happened.

He is in hospital recovering and will get better. We've spoken on the phone and while he's quite obviously tired and weak, he's in amazingly good spirits for someone who's been through such a harrowing experience.

The story is not mine to tell and when he feels better I'm sure he'll tell it. In the meantime, I set up a guestbook at getwellqs.signmyguestbook.com and I would greatly appreciate it if you would take a moment to sign and give him your best wishes.

I apologize for the pitiful state of the book--give me plants and I can make you something pretty. Give me html and uh, well ...

It's the thought that counts, right?

Now scoot on over and share some good thoughts with Queerscribe. I think he could use them, eh.

P.S.--A big bear hug to QS's and my mutual friend Joey who not only dropped everything to be with QS in the hospital, but who was also kind enough to call me and let me know what had happened.

This template is a riff on a design by the truly talented Quinn. Because I'm a html 'tard, I got alot of pity coding to modify it from Ms. Kittay, a woman who can make html roll over, beg, and bring her her slippers. The logo goodness comes from the God of Graphics, the Fuhrer of Fonts, the one, the only El Presidente. I smooch you all. The background image is part of a painting called Higher Calling by Carter Goodrich which graced the cover of the Aug. 3, 1998 issue of The New Yorker Magazine.

Kids, don't try viewing this at home without Netscape 6 or IE 4.5+, a screen resolution of 800 X 600 and the font Mead Bold firmly ensconced on your hard drive.
