Dear Diary:

There's a big, wet smooch for each of you who took the time to sign Queerscribe's virtual get well card.

Joey has been printing your messages and taking them in to the hospital when he visits QS. Joey tells me your kind words have raised QS's spirits and I thank each of you for doing this.

I must confess that I have a vested interest in him getting better. After all, QS has long been teasing me that the next time our paths cross he's taking me to a male strip club because I should see, uh, The Full Glory of Nature's Bounty. This, of course, would be for purely educational purposes because I have lived a very, very sheltered life and my uh, educational opportunities have been limited.

Imagine the tragedy if QS wasn't going to get better, if I had to live a life bereft of the promise that one day I would see The Full Glory of Nature's Bounty.

I know.

Really, it's unimaginably sad.

But, fortunately, Queerscribe managed to escape his brush with mortality, further proof that our future safari to The Full Glory of Nature's Bounty Is Meant To Be.

So again, thank you all for cheering him up and speeding his recovery. It cheers my heart immeasurably that one act of violence has been met by many, many acts of kindness. YOU FOLKS ARE THE BEST!

Oh, and a special thanks to the big-hearted Kittay who waved her html wand over the virtual get well card and gussied it up big time. Shows you what a fresh coat of html can do for a place, eh?

This template is a riff on a design by the truly talented Quinn. Because I'm a html 'tard, I got alot of pity coding to modify it from Ms. Kittay, a woman who can make html roll over, beg, and bring her her slippers. The logo goodness comes from the God of Graphics, the Fuhrer of Fonts, the one, the only El Presidente. I smooch you all. The background image is part of a painting called Higher Calling by Carter Goodrich which graced the cover of the Aug. 3, 1998 issue of The New Yorker Magazine.

Kids, don't try viewing this at home without Netscape 6 or IE 4.5+, a screen resolution of 800 X 600 and the font Mead Bold firmly ensconced on your hard drive.
